THE INC actively promotes high quality research, generating specific outputs. Every instalment of the conference hosts a series of special issues in internationally esteemed (AJG 2*) journals, whilst it is also supported by state of the art (AJG 3*/4*) journals. More specifically, the special issues generated from THE INC 2018 in Event Management and Hospitality and Society journals have included an overall number of 24 articles (16 in EM and 8 in H&S). The special issues generated from THE INC 2020 in Event Management and Tourism Planning and Development journals have included an overall number of 16 articles (9 in EM and 7 in TPD). The special issues generated from THE INC 2022 in Event Management and Tourism Planning and Development journals have included an overall number of 18 articles (10 in EM and 8 in TPD). THE INC 2024 has already secured the generation of one special issue in Event Management, and another one in Service Industries Journal (both of them are expected to be published during 2025). Those research outputs consistently highlight THE INC as the conference with a most significant research output in the field of tourism, hospitality and events.
