The Research Centre for Tourism, Sustainability and Well-being (CinTurs) would like to invite you and all the ATHENA members to join us in welcoming Professor Ksenia Kirillova at a CinTurs Master Webinar on 17 June at 17h.

 

This will be a unique opportunity to hear insights into Aesthetics & Beauty in Tourism. This webinar will identify major trends that guided Tourism research on beauty, ugliness, and the aesthetics “in-between,” critique its current state, and discuss directions to advance tourism theory and practice.

 

Ksenia Kirillova is associate professor of tourism & hospitality marketing and vice-head for research at Institut Lyfe (ex-Institut Paul Bocuse) in France. She received the PhD degree from Purdue University (USA) and was previously based at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Ksenia is the author of 50 publications in leading tourism and hospitality journals in the domains of consumer experiences and tourism aesthetics, with a special focus on transformative changes. Ksenia serves as a co-editor-in-chief at Annals of Tourism Research Empirical Insights and as an associate editor at Annals of Tourism Research. Prior to her academic career, Ksenia spent nine years working in the restaurant sector as well as in a destination marketing organisation in the USA.
