Dear colleagues,
Tourism is undergoing one of the most significant transformations in its history. The transition towards a greener, more digital and more resilient sector is no longer an option, but a necessity. At the same time, the industry faces an urgent challenge: equipping current professionals with new skills while inspiring and attracting the next generation of talent to lead this transformation.
In this context, the Erasmus+ EcoHarmony project, led by the TSI (Tourism, Sustainability and Innovation) Research Group at Ramon Llull University (Barcelona, Spain), is making significant progress towards strengthening the tourism ecosystem through education, innovation, and collaboration. By bringing together universities, industry representatives and organizations from across Europe, the project is creating practical knowledge and educational resources that respond directly to the emerging needs of the sector and support a more sustainable and competitive tourism industry.
A major milestone is the launch of 10 innovative micro-credentials focused on the key competencies required by today's tourism sector. These free, short, flexible and industry-oriented learning programmes will enable professionals, students and lifelong learners to upskill and reskill efficiently, supporting employability while making sustainable tourism knowledge more accessible than ever before.
TSI (Tourism, Sustainability and Innovation) Research Group at Ramon Llull University (Barcelona, Spain) invites you to join this journey and become part of a growing European community committed to transforming tourism through education, sustainability and innovation. Together, we can ensure that knowledge creates real impact where it matters most: in our destinations, our organizations and our local communities.
